Memes in the Time of Trump 2.0: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Edition

 “Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about  things that matter.” - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Naturally, we’re leading off with Dr. King. Memes are being taken increasingly serious as a means of expressing “things that matter.” They can be witty, snarky, and straightforward about an issue; but almost invariably, they serve getting that issue in front of the reader.






I believe Dr. King would be at the front of any crowd challenging this Regime at every turn and would put himself between the machinery and the target, the gun and the victim. He would also the see humanity of the oppressor but not at the expense of justice or surrendering to injustice just to “get along.”














































The following photos are from the “ICE Out of Houston for Good” rally at City Hall. People turned out in over 1,200 events across the country in the wake of Renee Good’s murder by an ICE agent. I’ll say her name, not his. He’s referred to above in a selected meme.







Also, nope; not forgetting the Epstein files!
